US Navy Liberator “63939” Memorial

Just off the Skellig Ring, there is a War Memorial to the US Navy Liberator “63939” Memorial to the men who died for freedom in 1944. The Plane they were travelling crashed near Little Skellig, unfortunately, there were no survivors. Today there is a monument in this very special place to the men who died here, looking out over the Atlantic ocean and the mighty Skellig Rocks.

The Location of the Liberator 63939, a good starting place is the Skellig Chocolate factory, head for Ballinskelligs coast road and turn right after 1km and drive another 1km it will be on your right-hand side
